I live in Clearwater, FL and work as a dental hygienist. I have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. I attended last 2 reunions and would have attended this one, but I, and anyone living out of state, requires more than a month’s notice. Six months would be nice.

    • Len Baglia Says:

Pam, we do not have your email address. Please send to jhs1970a@yahoo.com. We sent out notifications of the reunion by email late last year but could only send out 1 US Mail notification due to cost. Len Baglia

I have been married 13 years the second time around. My husband was an over-the-road truck driver for most of that time. I rode with him and we enjoyed picking up and delivering loads in all 48 states! We visited friends & family and saw so much of the beautiful U.S.! I have 2 sons & my husband has a daughter. We have 4 grandchildren that we love to spend time with!
I am retired now and my husband- Howard- works for his dad. It seems nice to be home for a change!
I won’t be able to make the reunion I am sorry to say. My son & I are driving to VA Beach for a family party.
I sure hope you everyone has a great time!! 😉

  4. Hi, I’m retired and living in Lynchburg VA, where my sister and two of my brothers live. I’m the leader of the Forest Photo Club and enjoy photography as my main hobby. Spent 4 years teaching math (community college in Watertown), 6.5 years as a programmer/analyst at Cummins (in Jamestown), 7 years teaching computer science at Houghton College (in the boondocks), and 15 years as a database administrator and senior systems analyst at Genworth Financial (in Virginia). One of my other favorite things is playing with my nephews – the two youngest live near me and are 8 and almost 5 years old. Lots of fun!

I’ve been married to my husband, Keith (senior pastor at the Dassel Covenant Church), for almost 35 years, and have been in Dassel, MN for the last 17 years. We have 3 children: Drew (30) is married with 2 kids and lives in Dassel, Kristin (28) is single, the service manager at the local bank, and just bought her own home 5 miles south of Dassel, and Tim (26) is married and lives in St. Cloud, MN which is 35 miles north of Dassel. It’s great to have everyone close! About 5 years ago I was able to quit my “real” job and am now a longarm quilter out of my home. Fun! We are able to visit Jamestown once or twice a year to visit my dad and other relatives, but will not be able to be at the reunion because of a 2 week trip to Alaska at that time. It has been fun to read everyone’s comments!

    • Deb Ross Creasy Says:

Hi Susie Anderson! You were on my mind a couple months ago when Pricilla passed away. How is your father doing? My parents are still doing quite well – Dad is 88+ and Mom is 85+.

Remember when we worked for your dad assembling parts and putting them in envelopes? I think that was my first job – except lemonade stands on the corner!

We certainly had some great times as kids on the north side of Jamestown. How our world has changed since that time – unfortunate for our children!

  36. Tanya Bonfiglio-Pochatko Says:

    Hello, everyone!

After teaching 29 years in NY, 2 in Los Angeles and 4 in PA, I am finally retired and am living in Beverly Hills……FL not CA! It’s about an hour and 20 minutes north of Tampa and I see there are a lot of classmates who have moved to this area!

I have a wonderful husband and 4 children. Meghan is 26, married and lives in Mumford, NY. Taryn is 24 and lives in Raleigh, NC. Morgan is 23 and lives in Westfield, NY, and is getting married Sept. 18. Mitch is soon to be 21 and lives in Mayville, NY. Love the empty nest!

I hope everyone is well! I’m sure we have all had our challenges, trials, happiness and sadness over the last 40 years but can you believe it’s been 40 years? Where does the time go? Wasn’t “Teahouse of the August Moon” just yesterday? If nothing else, we can all agree that life is too short and we need to live each moment as if it is our last.

Hopefully I might be able to attend the reunion! See you soon!

    • george laskaris Says:

Tanya, a classmate from MJ Fletcher, I’ve lived just up the street on Cole Avenue, I remember you and your family’s place on Ivy. For a period of time Brian Thorpe lived up the street. I would echo your sentiments about the 40 years, quite a ride. I’m likely not going to make it back for the reunion, but it’s been fun to get caught up on folks. Don’t know if you use Facebook at all, some of the students I work with pushed me to give it a try. Anyway, there’s a group that’s called RETRO Jamestown that you should check out. I remember your mom and dad and brother, who I believe attended the U of R. All the best.
      George Laskaris

    • Tanya Bonfiglio-Pochatko Says:

Of course I remember you and your sister on Cole! I was always impressed by your knowledge of dinosaurs when we were at Fletcher! Remember how we had to walk up and down the hill, went home for lunch and hardly ever had snow days! Hope all is well and will try the Facebook connection!

Brian and I lived for 20 years in Norwich, NY before moving to Tampa in ’94 and then Orlando. Relocated to Salisbury in ’04. We are currently learning to deal with Brian’s recent diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma and preparing for a bone marrow transplant at Johns Hopkins this summer. Wishing I could be at the reunion but it looks like we’ll be celebrating a different hurdle by then. It’s been a humbling year as care, love, and support wrap their arms around us by so many. Enjoy the reunion, everyone! Thanks, Len, for all your hard work organizing the event.

    • Kathy Grassi Moore Says:

Many prayers for you and your family, Mary as you face this hurdle. Hope everything works out well for your husband. Kathy (Grassi) Moore

    • Deb Ross Creasy Says:

Oh my gosh Mary – Patty Cusimano (71) and I ask each other frequently if either has heard about you. She and I still get together when I am in J-town and talk on a regular basis. How ironic that you and I both lived in Orlando at the same time and never knew it.

I hope that all goes well for Brian and all of your family.

I will not be coming to the reunion because I will be in Jamestown at the beginning of August instead. Now I am disappointed that I couldn’t work out the dates to attend – bummer.

Please contact me – I’d love to reconnect to one of my very first friends.

Have not heard from or about Frank or Jim.

Bob- Thanks. JB made it to the 30th. Seems like Elder’s band was Red, White, and Blueberries… they played at Eagle Ridge ski resort up past Mayville… foggy memories & for more reasons than just old age 🙂

    Hi Susan,
Yes of course I remember you.

Hey Bob – so glad to hear you’ll be coming back east for the 40th! I tried to look up John Beckman’s phone # using yahoo people search (I’m pretty sure he’s still in Denver). I texted that number to google JHS1970 reunion – but got no reply… Frank Philips was in Phoenix a few years back (I visited him once there) and Jim Raeon was in Idaho last I knew. We’re doing pretty well getting the word out but there are still a lot of people we won’t be able to find. I left a phone message on John Steed’s # in Jamestown too – also no reply… hmmm. Anyway if you can let Beckman know maybe he’s got contact info for Gary Nelson, Frank Philips, Jim Raeon, and other fraternity guys.
ps- Dave Elder was a musician and artist/photographer, right? class of 69?
